On Saturday 23rd November 2013 Bahari members together with the District Governor of District 411 A, Lion Teja Kalsi, Region Chairperson Lion Mary Mwami and the Zone Chairperson Lion B.T. Shah visited Mji Wa Salama Children’s Home in Makande area. This Home accommodates 62 Street children. These children attend the in house school from Kindergarten to Standard 7 classes.
Raw foodstuff like maize-meal, rice, beans, baby formulas and cooking oil was donated. Pampers, washing powder, etc. was also donated to the home. Each child received a gift of soft toys, toy cars, coloring books and coloring pencils according to their age groups.
The District Governor in his address said that he was very impressed with the condition and cleanliness of the home and he was also very happy to see that all the children look happy are very well looked after by the staff.
The Club President Lion Rashida Pirbhai thanked the District Governor and the guests for sparing time from their busy schedule and accompanying her and her members for this visit to the Home. She also whole kindheartedly thanked the Convener for “Service Activities and World Service Day” Lion Reezvana for a well-planned and wonderful activity.
