On Sunday 29th November 2015, Lions Bahari club members headed to Kilifi to hand over a fourth borehole. Ali and Hanaa from Sweden had kindly donated funds for a borehole to be constructed in an area where villagers didn't have access to fresh water nearby. The Club project Convener, Lion Zainul Dar along with Mr. Kariuki, the contractor, identified St. Mary's Community School in Tezo, a remote part of Kilifi District.
On Arrival, members of the Club were welcomed with songs and poetry recitals by the school children. The opening ceremony of the borehole was conducted by the Club's President, Lion Mayuri Patel. The school committee Chairman thanked the Club and the donors for such a benevolent act of providing water not only for the 250 school children but also for their families and surrounding villages.
The Service and Tree planting Convener, Lion Mary Mwami had prepared 100 Casuarina tree seedlings to be planted. The children of St. Mary's Community School along with the members of the Club and guest Lion Roni from Prestatyn and Rhyl, Lions Club North Wales planted the trees within their school compound. The children enjoyed the activity and promised to water and look after the seedlings.
Before the Lions left St. Mary's Community School, the children were each given a bag of maize meal.
