To mark the Youth Week we visited the SOS Children's Village, Nyali, Mombasa on Friday 9th August 2019.
The youth were taught basic skills of how to till their backyard ground and plant simple but daily required vegetables, which the village should not lack. For a start the Club provided them with capsicum, tomatoes and spinach seedlings.
President Lion Kamaljeet Kaur advised the youth to take care of the seedlings by watering them twice daily. The Club also promised to supply more seedlings and later set up a seedlings nursery.
The youth were really trilled with the farming activity which took about 3 hours as they also got to bond with the members.
